Professional Communication

CLED Special Programs helps adult learners of English develop language skills for the professional workplace. Our experts design programs focusing on communication strategies that make our students stand out and impress employers. Course curricula emphasize an integrated experiential approach and often include authentic document formats as well as business and professional simulations.

Those seeking a Professional Communication course may select from the following:

  • English for Heritage Language Speakers (EHLS) Program
    This intensive 8-month program focuses on tasks that are part of professional interactions in a government workplace, such as conducting research for federal agencies, writing analytical reports, and making formal presentations. Applications are open to native speakers of selected critical languages.
     
  • Communication Tools for Success
    This summer course focuses on practical strategies for reading, researching and communicating effectively in the graduate programs.
     
  • Custom Programs
    Organizations may request a custom program for their groups. CLED Special Programs works with foundations, multinational corporations, universities, and government agencies.
